I am on my soon to be EX girlfriends account. I have a 5 yo old son whom I am the non custodial parent to but as per the court order for parenting time I have him 45% of the time. I pay full CS from before this agreement was put into place as if I had my son only every other weekend. My question is can I get my CS lowered or dropped due to me having my son such a substantial amount of time? I take care of everything when I have my son. I provide insurance, I provide everything for the 45% of the time I have him AND I provide CS for when he is wit her. She in reality has no financial burden when it comes to raising our son. I am only considering this because I am in the middle of a break up to my girl friend of almost 5 years and things are harder on my financially now. I am barely going to be able to afford the essentials now that I do not have a second income to help with bills. I am in Ohio. Any input is welcomed. I am not a dead beat just trying to get out of taking care of my son I take care of him pretty much 100% of the time, if it is not physically and financially when he is with me then it is financially when he is not. His mother has Food stamps, free housing, and free insurance for her and the other kids (I provide insurance for my son) The only thing she has to pay for and my CS covers is toys, and school fees.
